Kristy Ramey started her career in the congressional world as an Intern for then-Senator George Voinovich in 2008 while attending The Ohio State University studying Political Science. Upon graduation in 2009, she was hired as a Caseworker handling grievances with several federal agencies, including USPS, Dept of Education, Dept of Labor, etc. In 2011, she joined Senator Rob Portman’s team as the military/VA (Veterans Affairs)/Department of Homeland Security Caseworker.

Shortly before the pandemic, she took on the additional role of Grants Coordinator for Senator Portman, handling grant research, fielding inquiries related to federal grants, drafting letters of support on behalf of the Senator, and assisting with press releases to announce Ohio grant awards. She states, “It was a long but humbling experience serving Ohioans, but I’m looking forward to serving Ohio in this new capacity as CFO’s new Director of Development & Strategic Initiatives.”
