Clean Fuels Ohio organized an electric vehicle exhibition as part of this year’s Ohio Chamber of Commerce Annual Legislative Conference. Fifteen state legislators took the opportunity to meet and speak with Ohio-based EV manufacturers. Endera Motors, DRR USA, and Lordstown Motors set up booths and had vehicles on site to answer questions and give test drives.

In addition to policymakers, a variety of Chamber staff and other attendees took a spin on DRR USA’s electric ATV. They also whipped around the event space in the Lordstown Motors all-electric Endurance pickup truck.

“We appreciate Clean Fuels Ohio’s work in organizing this exhibition, which helped Ohio lawmakers and public affairs professionals to learn more about electric vehicle businesses in our state with an informative, hands-on display,” said Ohio Chamber of Commerce President Steve Stivers. “These companies represent a rapidly growing industry, and with the large share of our local economy that automotive manufacturing occupies, it is vital that we cultivate a long-lasting partnership with those that represent its future. We are proud that Ohio Chamber members like Ford and AEP are taking strides to reduce their carbon footprints through the production and use of electric vehicles, and we are grateful to Clean Fuels Ohio for helping us encourage others to do the same.”

Endera Motors showed off the commercial potentials of EVs.

“It was great to show the state senators and state representatives our complete Endera package of electric fleet solutions, including our shuttle bus, school bus, and truck offerings- all proudly manufactured in our Ottawa, Ohio factory!” said Endera Executive Vice President of Business Development Bill Williams. “The Clean Fuels Ohio team has been a pleasure to partner with over the years to drive EV adoption. Thanks for having us featured at this event, and we are looking forward to future events!”

As the auto industry shifts to EV production, Clean Fuels Ohio will continue to provide policymakers personal experience with a diverse range of types of electric vehicles to support efforts to increase understanding of policy best practices.

“Bringing together EV manufacturers, EV owners, and policymakers is vital to our goal of boosting awareness of EVs and opening up conversations around how to best position our state for the future,” said Drive Electric Ohio Director Brendan Kelley. Future EVents, including for National Drive Electric Week (September 25-October 3), can be found on the Clean Fuels Ohio event calendar.
