Former Transportation Energy Partners professional to lead CFO’s state-wide EV adoption program.

Clean Fuels Ohio — a Clean Cities coalition — has selected Jacob Schwemlein to lead Drive Electric Ohio, the organization’s state-wide electric vehicle initiative. Before joining the Clean Fuels Ohio team, Schwemlein supported government affairs for Washington D.C.-based Transportation Energy Partners.

“As we look to invigorate our organization and support the use of cleaner fuels throughout the entire transportation sector, Jacob will be a key part of our effort to promote electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Ohio,” said Phillip La Susa, Executive Director, Clean Fuels Ohio.

Drive Electric Ohio, Clean Fuel Ohio’s EV initiative, is dedicated to advancing the adoption of electric vehicles in Ohio through consumer education events, EV incentives, and promoting pro-EV legislation. The program connects businesses, developers, and communities to the resources they need to install electric charging stations and provide affordable, accessible charging for tenants, customers, and employees.

“In his role, Jacob will focus on accelerating electric vehicle adoption,” adds Nicholas Strata, Managing Director, Clean Fuels Ohio. “We want to energize the pillars of our Drive Electric Ohio program — Grassroots, Policy, Utility & Regulator Engagement, Dealerships & OEMs, Infrastructure Development, Fleet Electrification, and Equity & Access.”
