The National Association of Fleet Administrators (NAFA) hosted their annual Institute & Expo on April 11-13 in Columbus, Ohio. With three keynotes, over 25 educational session, and more than 175 exhibitors, the NAFA I&E 2022 helped kick off an exciting start this year’s in-person conference season.
Not only are in-person conferences back in full-swing, but the pandemic showed us all that virtual programming can be very impactful. NAFA leaned into that this year by hosting the I&E virtual experience from April 25-27. As a follow up to the Columbus conference, NAFA offered attendees the ability to extend their learning experience by offering three full days of additional educational sessions at a deeply discounted rate. All sessions are available on demand and feature fleet experts from across the country sharing their stories, advice, and expertise.
Additionally, Clean Fuels Ohio hosted a stakeholder convening and educational session on Tuesday, April 12, 2022. During the presentation, CFO discussed considerations and procedures for local and regional Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) infrastructure planning, including considerations for fleet adoption, potential infrastructure site hosts, and equitable distribution of charging stations to spur the adoption of electric vehicles among individual motorists and fleets.
CFO ended with a discussion on funding opportunities available for fleets and municipalities to support the installation and maintenance of EVSE. There were about 39 attendees at the session, including public and private fleet managers and interested I&E attendees. At the conclusion of the session, our team was approached by a member of the press from WYSO public radio, serving Southwest Ohio, who interviewed us about the event and included a quotation from one of our team members in a story about the event on their website. It was great interacting with people at an in-person event, and we look forward to more in the future!
