In December 2020, the Ohio EPA announced today that nearly $12 million in grants will be awarded to 40 entities, including 10 Ohio school districts, to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions from diesel vehicles and equipment through the Ohio EPA VW Diesel Mitigation Trust Fund (DMTF) program.
On January 14, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of approximately $46 million in Diesel Emissions Reduction Act (DERA) grant funds to support projects aimed at reducing emissions from the nation's existing fleet of older diesel engines. Under this competition, between 40 and 70 awards are anticipated.
