Accelerating Ohio’s Auto Industry Updates: Proponent Testimony on 4/5 and an Upcoming Ride and Drive on 5/25

On Tuesday, April 5th the Ohio Senate Energy and Public Utilities Committee heard proponent testimony in support of SB 307, Accelerating Ohio’s Auto Industry (AOAI), from Brendan Kelley, Director of Drive Electric Ohio, John Walsh, Founder and CEO of Endera Motors, Rick Stockburger, President and CEO of BRITE Energy Innovators, and Phil Dion, Vice President and Chief Customer Officer of AEP Ohio.
In addition to the four in-person proponents, 49 other supporters submitted written proponent testimony. A recording of the full committee meeting can be watched here. All submitted testimony can be accessed here. There will likely be an additional hearing on the bill in May, with another opportunity for proponents to provide testimony.
On May 25th, Clean Fuels Ohio is hosting a ride and drive event in celebration of AOAI. The event will be from 10am to 2pm on the West Plaza of the Ohio Statehouse.
