Get Involved
Before you decide how you want to get involved, we ask you, your company, agency, or organization to first consider becoming a member of Clean Fuels Ohio (CFO). This is the best way to stay informed about what is happening in the rapidly evolving world of alternative fuels, efficient vehicles and energy-saving transportation technologies (AFVTs). You’ll stay current with the work of the Coalition, our and others’ events, and industry news, and you’ll demonstrate your support for projects, policies and activities that are supporting Ohio’s economy, improving our environment and making our nation more energy-secure. We count on the financial support of our members to help make the activities possible.
Please explore our site as well as our partner sites for more information about the organization and specific oppportunities to make a difference. Then, when you’re ready to volunteer, please email or call us at (614) 884-7336.
Possible Volunteer Needs
Do you like events? Maybe you can help organize events or handle some aspect of an event such as logistics and planning, materials, promotion, registration, food, and/or other.
Are you interested in public policy and advocacy? You may be interested in getting actively involved in one of our state policy initiatives – particularly biofuels or getting more alternative fuel vehicles on the state bid list.
Do you like to write and edit? Perhaps you’d like to work on our newsletter, web site, other publications and/or correspondence.
Do you have graphic design, desktop publishing, web design/development/code skills? Would you like to work on layout and design of our newsletter, other publications or web site?
Are you skilled at and do you like to manipulate data using computers? Perhaps you’d like to assist with database organization, queries or data entry.
Are you comfortable doing routine office work? You could help us from time to time getting out mailings, assembling packets or binders for events, sorting and filing, and so forth.
Do you enjoy talking on the phone? You could make routine calls to request or confirm contact and other information, or encourage people to attend events.
Maybe you’ve read through this whole list and you’re still not sure. Or maybe you’re torn between options or interested in a combination of options. Feel free to give us a call to discuss it. You also might want to attend one of our meetings or events to learn more and meet others.
