CNG Conversions

Certain makes and models of vehicles can be retrofitted or "converted" to run on natural gas. Listed below are vehicles that are EPA- and CARB-certified to be converted to run on natural gas. Note: Only vehicles that are EPA-certified may be converted for CNG.

Larger vehicles such as trucks and vans may also be converted into bi-fuel vehicles that have the option to run on two different fuels (containing two different fuel tanks). Please talk to your conversion specialist about dedicated and bi-fuel options.

Vehicles available for EPA-certified natural gas conversion:

Ford Motor Company

General Motors

CNG Conversion Locations

The following locations are certified by the EPA to convert certain gasoline vehicles into compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles. While other websites or locations may profess to have CNG conversion capabilities, a CNG vehicle must be EPA-certified in order to operate legally on the road. If you have any questions about your vehicle's convertibility, please contact each company directly as updates may occur.

If you know of any other EPA-certified CNG conversion manufacturers, please contact us at info@cleanfuelsohio.org.
